We are currently seeking a Construction Project Coordinator for our client, a reputable construction and development company in Los Angeles.

Summary

The Construction Project Coordinator will assist project managers, site supervisors, and contractors by coordinating schedules, preparing reports, managing project documents, and facilitating communication across teams. Essential Duties

  • Support project managers with day-to-day coordination of construction activities across multiple job sites.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and milestones, ensuring timely updates and reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Manage project documentation including contracts, permits, and compliance forms.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project workflows.
  • Assist with procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to job sites.
  • Conduct status meetings and prepare project progress reports for management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date project files and digital records in construction management software.
  • Identify and resolve potential project delays or conflicts by escalating issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in construction coordination, project administration, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with construction project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, documents, and terminology (RFIs, submittals, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities for working with diverse teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical documents (preferred).

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across complex projects.
  • Strong negotiation and coordination skills to balance schedules and resources.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts between contractors and project teams in a professional and timely manner.

Work Environment

  • Construction office setting with regular site visits to active job locations.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional site walks which may require PPE (hard hats, boots, etc.).
