We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist responsible for managing employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees receive their pay correctly and on time.

To be a successful candidate, you should be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues to ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards, along with excellent people skills and a high numerical aptitude. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll-related matters
  • Manage electronic timekeeping systems or manually collect and review timesheets
  • Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions
  • Prepare and issue income statements
  • Issue paychecks and manage direct deposits
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation, transactions, and employee records
  • Coordinate with the HR department to ensure correct employee data
  • Provide administrative assistance to the accounting department
  • Prepare and process paychecks and cash deposits
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns
  • Perform account balance and payroll reconciliations

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in payroll or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices
  • Experience working with accounting and payroll software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High numerical aptitude and detail-oriented
