We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator who will be responsible for moving, loading, and unloading tractor-trailer trucks, flat beds, and semi-trucks with 7′ long forks. For various goods and deliveries, from trucks, around the warehouse, and stacking boxes for storage by utilizing a cheery forklift picker, order picker, or reach truck. OSHA certification is preferred but not mandatory, and the ability to work with diligence and good hand-eye coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Follow oral and written instructions to identify products to be moved.
- Take inventory and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheets.
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in designated places.
- Locate and move stocks of products to pallets or crates for storage around the warehouse or departure.
- Shipping/receiving functions, creating labels, packaging, and generating forms through completion.
- Perform equipment checks and essential maintenance by identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Complete physical tasks promptly and accurately.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Should have at least one year of operating and controlling equipment.
- A forklift driver’s certification.
- Should have good spatial awareness.
- Should have good attention to detail.
- Knowledge of hand scanners, telephone, handheld scanners, 2-way radio, and LXE System.
- Should have the ability to work well with others and under pressure.
- Should understand health and safety protocol in a warehouse environment.
- Other duties, as assigned.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 40+ hours a week / Overtime Opportunities.
- Stand-up, sit down forklift experience.
- Packing and shrink wrap experience.
- Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50lbs.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Must read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
